What is this?

Answer:
This was Disneyland's float in the 2004 Rose Parade, in celebration of the new, soon-to-be-opened Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride at California Adventure. After the parade, the float was towed to California Adventure where it was put on display for about a week.

It's a preview of the latest attraction "Honey, I Shrunk the Theme Park" soon to open in place of "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience..."
-- I gotta admit that made me

Tim & Malinda
A float from the Tournament of Roses parade later displayed at California Adventure.

That's the Rose Parade Float from Jan 1 2004. The tallest float the parade ever had (at the time. I don't know if any have surpassed it). It commemorated the opening of DCA's Tower of Terror in the spring of 2004.
-- I'd forgotten that it was also the tallest Rose Parade float! Thanks for reminding me. I did a little searching via Google, and I believe that record still stands.

The responses I received were:

Jayson Weingarten:
That is from the Grand Canyon mural of the railroad.

Tim & Malinda:
The Grand Canyon Diorama.

BBlast:
That is from the diorama that the train passes through. I have always loved that part of the ride, but for years now I have wanted to toss a hamburger to the starving dinosaurs!

John and Heather:
That looks vaguely familiar. It looks kinda like this shot of mine... :-)

This is in the Grand Canyon Diorama on the railroad between the Tomorrowland and Main Street Stations.
