Answer:This 55-million-year-old petrified sequoia redwood from Colorado's Pike Petrified Forest was purchased in 1956 by Walt as an anniversary gift for Lillian. She donated it to
Disneyland, and it was placed by the
Rivers of America, in front of the
Golden Horseshoe, in September 1957.

Jeff ToroThe petrified tree is located next to the water in
Frontierland (near

ShannonPetrified tree that is next to the
Rivers of America.
Tim & MalindaThat is a piece of petrified wood that Walt gave to Lillian for a gift. On the 'Walk in Walt's Footsteps' tour, the tour guide said the other half of the piece was at the Disney home. When it was split, there were a number of opals inside, which were made into jewelry. So, when your husband gives you a hunk of petrified wood for a gift....you never know what may be inside!
