In what part of the resort would you find a trash can that looks like this?

Answer:
Trash cans like this can be found in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.

The responses I received were:

Tim & Malinda
The trash cans are not my strong point. I'm guessing Tomorrowland.
-- That's too bad, because I have a lot of these.

Richard Blythe
Tomorrowland.

Jeff Toro
I don't want to offend anyone, but the rainbow makes me think of the gay section of San Francisco, so I'll guess its the Bay Area inside DCA.
-- LOL!

Shannon
Well let's see, this must be in a parking garage somewhere...

What is this? Where would you see it?

Answer:
This is the Refreshment Corner, hosted by Coca Cola® on Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A.

The responses I received were:

Jeff Toro
I have never seen this, but isn't there a Refreshment Corner or Coke corner sponsored by Coke on Main Street? The piano man is out there, serves hot dogs and such? If so then that is my guess.

Shannon
Is this by the Carnation area?
-- I had a feeling someone might think it was Carnation Cafe, but that is in the middle of the shops on Main Street. Refreshment Corner is at the north end of the shops.

Tim & Malinda

Where would you find this?

Answer:
This is Tow Mater's license plate. He and Lightning McQueen can be seen at a character meet and greet in California Adventure.

Here are a couple kids with Mater and one of his character handlers:

The responses I received were:

Jeff Toro
Oh, this picture is so unfair. I have not been to DL since Cars came out, so I don't know where to find this. All I can guess is that there is a Cars display, or store and this plate is on Mater?
-- LOL... By "Where would you find it", I meant that telling me which vehicle it's on is enough. And you got it right.

Also I've already explained where in the resort you can see it anyway. Remember? I already used Lightning McQueen for a mystery photo...

Susan Kozicki
That would be the tag on Tow Mater!

Richard Blythe
This looks like the license plate for Mater from the movie Cars.

What is this? Where would you see it?

Answer:
This is Cruella De Vil's trailer in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot part of California Adventure.

The responses I received were:

Jeff Toro
I believe this to be Cruella De Vil's trailer, and I believe its located near the dead ride of Superstar Limo, but my wife says its by where Goofy's Beach Party Bash was, but either way, its in the Hollywood Backlot.
-- The Beach Party Bash has never been in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot that I'm aware of. It's always in that area in the center by the gold sun/fountain thing, in the Sunshine Plaza part of the park, just outside the backlot.

Shannon
DCA - Backlot area

Tim & Malinda
In the Hollywood Pictures area of California Adventure.

Susan Kozicki
This looks like where the dalmations would live. Or maybe the wicked Cruela De Vil?

Where would you find this sign?

Answer:
This is the sign on the La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney.

The responses I received were:

Ann Marie Fowler
Hi! I think the sign is at a Bakery at DTD.
-- That's close enough for me.

In what part of the resort would you find a trash can that looks like this?

Answer:
This is what the trash cans look like in Downtown Disney.

The responses I received were:

Brian Martsolf
Hi, I'm going to guess this is from the "bug's land" area over at Disney's California Adventure.

Jeff Toro
Okay, now this one is in Downtown Disney.

This is just a guess but DCA - around Monsters, Inc.
-- That's in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area, so you got it.

I am going to guess at this and say Downtown Disney even though it looks like the Hollywood part of DCA.

What is this parlor car's name? Who is it named after?

Answer:
This parlor car was named the Lilly Belle after Walt's wife Lillian. The luxurious, elaborately decorated Victorian-style private car is typically only available to Disney executives, celebrities and Club 33 members.

Where would you see this?

Answer:
This is the swaying rope bridge on Disneyland's Tom Sawyer Island.

The responses I received were:

BBlast
Looks like that rickety rope bridge on Tom Saywer Island. In the "old days", that bridge would move and shake..but the REAL thrill was right below it where the barrel bridge was! I think that they had to pull out an injured kid at least once every weekend on that old thing!

Is it still there? Have they "calmed" it down?
-- The barrel bridge is still there, too. I've never known it to be very rough, though.

Shannon
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
-- The Swiss Family Treehouse closed in 1999, replaced soon after by Tarzan's Treehouse. I forgot there is a suspension bridge there also. I was honestly surprised that almost all of the responses mentioned that one.

Jeff Toro
I have a hunch its on Tom Sawyer Island...or the Tarzan Treehouse, but again I could be way off

Another easy one: What ride is this, and what "land" is it in? Also, do you know what distinction this ride has (this part of the ride in particular)?

Answer:
This is Splash Mountain in Disneyland's Critter Country.

The distinction I was going for is the fact that it is the fastest ride in Disneyland, as the ride vehicles reach up to 40mph during the big drop pictured here. I didn't word my question very well, though. Even though nobody guessed what I had in mind, everyone's response was still correct in their own way.

The responses I received were:

Jeff Toro
Splash Mountain in Critter Country, and now for your question...
Distinction...could it be the 5 story plunge, or the angle of the drop? The front to back seating, the mystery photo being taken, then of course, I could be way off what you're looking for.

Shannon
Splash Mountain - Critter Country - I guess not - I know that it has to do with Song of the South.

Tim & Malinda
Splash Mountain in Critter Country. Disney's first water flume ride?

Kirby
Splash Mountain
Critter Country
I'm not sure what is distinctive about the drop. I used to think that this was the steepest and/or fastest log flume drop, but it appears from a little googling not to be so (but probably was when it opened). The drop is 5 stories. During my 2002 trip I never got wet on it, but that was with the older style logs (before the ones pictured).

Susan Kozicki
Splash Mountain. Is this where they take your picture?

Richard Blythe
Splash Mountain - Critter Country (Formally Bear Country) - The distinction this part of the ride is the "drop" is longer than viewable because it goes below ground.

Who is this? What show is he in? Where would you see the show?

Answer:
This is Kirk Wall, aka Billy Elvis of the Billy Hill & the Hillbillies's Blue and Gold Teams. There are three teams of Hillbillies (Blue, Green and Gold) as well as about a dozen occasional substitute/stand-in Billy's.

The Hillbillies perform at the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland's Frontierland. The Golden Horseshoe is closed most of this month as it is undergoing a refurbishment.

The rest of the Gold Team are:

John Marshall, aka Billy Bass:

Where would you find this?

Answer:
This is in the Firehouse on Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A. Walt Disney had an apartment built for himself on the second floor of the firehouse. A light in the window still shines in his memory.

A view of the fire station:

Click on the image to enlarge

The responses I received were:

Richard Blythe
The firehouse on Main Street.

Kirby
This is just a guess, but this horse collar is probably hanging inside the Firehouse.
I'm not entirely sure because during my only DL trip in Nov 2002, the firehouse was mostly a Christmas shop and I did not get a good look inside.
This seems like the logical place, though.
